Dr. Votteler can apply Botox® to the jaw to restore comfort for patients suffering from TMD. This quick treatment alleviates tightness and soreness, relaxing the muscles to make chewing and talking easier. This is also an alternative option to wearing custom mouth guards at night.  

Once treatment is applied, it’s important to follow post care instructions for a few hours after your appointment. This will allow Botox® to work in the areas specifically targeted and prevent the treatment from shifting. Results can last up to five months.
